Senior Cientista de Dados

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Evolve and support the search and recommendation engine, based on Elastic, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.

• Develop, validate, and maintain data science models aimed at product personalization and recommendations.

• Create and enhance algorithms applied to: Search and ranking, Product showcases and collections, Recommendation components, Cart, CRM, and personalized communications.

• Collaborate with Product, Business, Data Engineering, and Business Analytics teams to define hypotheses, metrics, and experiments.

• Translate technical results into clear and actionable insights for the business.

• Contribute to the definition of best practices, logical architecture, and data science processes.

• Support the structuring of the area by contributing to: Technical standards, Documentation, Roadmap evolution, and the formation of a data-driven and experimental culture.

• Continuously evaluate opportunities for personalization and anticipation of the customer experience, focusing on conversion, engagement, and recurrence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.

• Solid experience as a Senior Data Scientist, with practical application of models in production.

• Proficiency in recommendation models, ranking, similarity, clustering, or applied machine learning.

• Experience with Elastic / ElasticSearch, particularly for search, relevance, and ranking.

• Strong knowledge of Python and Data Science and Machine Learning libraries.

• Experience with experimentation, metrics, and model evaluation (A/B tests, offline/online metrics).

• Experience in large-scale data environments.

• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
