This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Oversee category management for important accounts by providing actionable insights related to assortment, space planning, and promotional initiatives.
• Create scorecards and benchmarking tools to monitor performance and guide joint business planning efforts.
• Integrate various data sources (POS, syndicated data, shipment information, and retailer feedback) into concise, credible insights.
• Craft category narratives that extend beyond simple reporting to sway retailer decision-making.
• Assess the effectiveness of promotions and pricing strategies to enhance category and portfolio results.
• Spearhead the development and implementation of the AMPS/4P framework across different species portfolios.
• Develop scalable, repeatable toolkits (including segmentation, assortment frameworks, and space logic) that can be applied across accounts.
• Enhance the team's knowledge and skills related to category management.
• Collaborate with sales, customer marketing, and portfolio/species teams to synchronize recommendations and business objectives.
• Ensure that current strategies align with retailer goals, shopper behavior, and portfolio strategy.
• Serve as a liaison for retail-embedded field analysts; establish priorities and standardize outputs.
• Establish and manage a consistent rhythm of scorecards, insights reviews, and category updates.
• Enhance data integration and reporting efficiency over time.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in category management, shopper insights, or retail analytics within the CPG, animal nutrition, or related industries.
• Proven capability to influence retail partners through data-driven assortment, pricing, space, and promotional analytics and recommendations.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills with experience utilizing customer data platforms and syndicated tools such as Numerator, Stackline, Nielsen/IRI, and Euromonitor.
• Advanced proficiency in data visualization and analytics using business intelligence tools like Tableau and PowerBI.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions in a matrixed organization.
