Senior CA GEN Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead Generation consulting engagements with enterprise clients

• Analyze current legacy applications and suggest modernization strategies

• Assist in application re-platforming and system re-architecture projects

• Install, configure, upgrade, and optimize CA Gen environments

• Design and develop solutions utilizing CA Gen

• Resolve complex technical issues and enhance application performance

• Comprehend customer business needs and propose technical solutions

• Execute projects within agreed-upon scope, budget, and timelines

• Create proof of concepts and technical prototypes

• Contribute to technical proposals, solution designs, and client presentations

• Identify opportunities to enhance existing systems and development processes

• Mentor junior consultants as needed

• Assist in business development initiatives through technical expertise

• Collaborate within a cross-functional engineering team in an autonomous manner

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

• Extensive commercial experience with CA Gen

• Experience in installing, configuring, and upgrading Gen environments

• Strong knowledge of application development

• Solid understanding of component-based development (CBD)

• Proficient understanding of batch processing

• Strong grasp of transaction processing

• In-depth knowledge of relational databases

• Expertise in performance tuning

• Strong understanding of UI design and development

• Experience in delivering application modernization or legacy transformation projects

• Familiarity with application re-platforming

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

• Experience working directly with enterprise customers

• Strong communication and consulting skills

• Ability to work independently while managing client relationships

• Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal

• Preferred additional experience includes COBOL, IBM Mainframe technologies, ISPF, JCL, SPUFI, SCLM, Java, .NET, Spring Boot, Angular, cloud platforms, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, and automation tools
