Senior Business Risk & AI Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain an AI-driven testing framework to architect and scale our SOX compliance program, enhancing accuracy, providing real-time insights, and minimizing manual tasks.

• Lead the assessment of essential business process controls (such as financial reporting, revenue recognition, payroll, and equity compensation) utilizing agentic AI systems to identify and address potential risks.

• Work collaboratively across Finance and Accounting, Sales, People & Culture, Legal, and other key stakeholders to fortify controls and promote improvements in business processes.

• Act as a subject matter expert and advocate for the integration of AI and automation in risk management practices.

• Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the Risk Advisory and Assurance team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A seasoned professional with 2 to 4 years of experience in a Big 4 accounting firm, internal audit, and/or compliance functions, demonstrating a strong enthusiasm for technology and automation.

• A subject matter expert experienced in supporting internal controls and SOX testing within the technology sector, ideally with platform companies.

• A proactive, results-driven thinker with a technology-first mindset, who embraces creative problem-solving and envisions "what could be" while striving to create it.

• A collaborative individual with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn, thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, and/or CISSP are preferred.

• Experience in controls testing, including business process controls, entity-level controls, application controls, and key reporting.

• Ability to evaluate complex processes to pinpoint risks and discover automation opportunities.

• Practical experience utilizing AI tools and prompting (e.g., Google AI suite, ChatGPT, specialized AI audit tools, etc.).

• A critical thinker focused on solutions and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
