Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and manage reports, dashboards, and visual data representations.

• Write efficient queries that facilitate complex business analysis for reports and ad-hoc inquiries.

• Ensure the precision, dependability, and performance of all reporting and analytics solutions.

• Propel the advancement of sophisticated analytics capabilities utilizing machine learning and AI.

• Serve as the main point of contact for business users concerning reporting and data-related questions.

• Conduct training sessions and office hours to enhance the adoption and outcomes of self-service analytics.

• Collect and assess business requirements, converting them into technical solutions.

• Address user tickets and bug reports promptly.

• Aid in the design and optimization of data models for reporting and analytical purposes.

• Collaborate with Data Engineers to define and enhance data processes that fulfill reporting requirements.

• Monitor and ensure the performance and availability of all reporting and analytics solutions.

• Diagnose and resolve reporting-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime for end users.

• Identify opportunities for automating processes and improving efficiency within the data environment.

• Uphold data governance policies.

• Organize and prioritize tasks in the ticketing system.

• Maintain consistent communication during stand-ups and stakeholder meetings.

• Engage in code reviews to ensure compliance with best practices and high-quality deliverables.

• Provide mentorship to team members by sharing knowledge and offering guidance on best practices.

• Take ownership of intricate projects, ensuring timely delivery of solutions that meet specifications.

• Promote the adoption and utilization of our tools and new technologies throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Exceptional communication skills with the capability to engage effectively with non-technical stakeholders.

• Proficient knowledge of reporting and data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.

• Advanced expertise in one or more relevant programming languages (DAX, SQL, Python, R).

• Strong comprehension of data modeling principles and ETL best practices.

• Experience with version control systems and best practices (Git, GitHub).

• Understanding of machine learning and AI concepts and their applications in business intelligence.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently on complex assignments.
