Senior BI Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with product teams and business stakeholders to provide reliable analytics and reporting solutions utilizing Power BI.

• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders from both business and product teams.

• Convert business requirements into comprehensive reporting specifications, data definitions, and technical documentation.

• Act as a bridge between business users, Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and BI teams to ensure cohesion during solution delivery.

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI semantic models, reports, dashboards, and associated reporting solutions.

• Create scalable data models, measures, hierarchies, and governance-compliant reporting definitions.

• Develop user-friendly dashboards and reporting experiences that enhance business decision-making and promote user adoption.

• Assist in deploying, publishing, managing permissions, refreshing schedules, and coordinating releases for Power BI solutions.

• Keep documentation up to date for reporting solutions, data definitions, and business logic.

• Engage in Agile development practices including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily standups.

• Collect user feedback and aid in the ongoing enhancement and improvement of reporting solutions.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.

• Over 6 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or business analysis roles.

• Proven experience in gathering and documenting requirements for business intelligence or reporting initiatives.

• Strong background in working with enterprise data platforms and OLAP databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar technologies.

• Experience in developing Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and enterprise-level reporting solutions.

• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server technologies, including SSRS, SSAS, or semantic-model-based BI architectures is preferred.

• Background in the commercial real estate or financial services industry is preferred.

• High proficiency with Power BI, encompassing semantic models, report development, publishing workflows, and dashboard design.

• Strong SQL and data modeling capabilities, including understanding dimensional modeling concepts like star schemas, fact tables, and dimension tables.

• Knowledge of ETL processes, data transformation techniques, and best practices in enterprise reporting.

• Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and other related collaboration platforms is preferred.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
