Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – Payments Strategy

• The Role: Ottimate seeks a highly skilled Senior BI Analyst to become the foremost authority on our payment ecosystem’s data. You will connect intricate, raw financial data to executive-level strategy, reporting directly to the Finance Manager while also assisting the VP of Payments. Your objective is to convert "unclean" data into insightful dashboards and forecasts that will guide Ottimate in optimizing resource allocation for maximum growth.

• Responsibilities:

• - Behavioral Modeling: Create and maintain PowerBI dashboards that monitor customer and vendor behaviors, identifying trends indicative of churn risk or opportunities for growth.

• - Revenue Forecasting: Generate data-driven forecasts for interchange revenue and operational savings to facilitate quarterly business reviews.

• - Optimization Strategy: Serve as an internal consultant to pinpoint high-value areas for resource allocation, such as transitioning high-volume check expenditures to e-payments.

• - Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough self-audits and reconciliations to guarantee that every figure presented to leadership is 100% accurate and defensible.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical Stack: Proficiency in SQL (complex joins, CTEs), PowerBI, and advanced Excel modeling is essential. Knowledge of Python is a significant advantage.

• Experience: A minimum of 4 years in a Business Intelligence or Financial Analyst role.

• Executive Communication: Proven experience in presenting complex data insights directly to C-level executives or Department Heads is required.

• Domain Knowledge: Prior experience in the US payments industry (Interchange, ACH, VCC) is a considerable asset.

• The "Audit" Mindset: A meticulous attention to detail is crucial. You possess the ability to identify discrepancies (such as inconsistent figures between a report and a summary) before they reach stakeholders.
