Senior Business Immigration Paralegal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Operate under the direct oversight of an Attorney and/or Case Manager.

• Analyze information and documents independently.

• Prepare, review, and compile immigration petitions and applications for Attorney evaluation and submission.

• Manage workload by prioritizing tasks, addressing more complex cases, and identifying potential issues.

• Communicate with clients/foreign nationals regarding case processing and status for key accounts/clients.

• Deliver outstanding client service.

• Facilitate and oversee the immigration process for individual clients and corporate accounts, while striving for efficiency and process enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal, specializing in drafting employment-based petitions.

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word).

• Preferred experience in drafting petitions for a variety of NIV cases, such as H1B, L, TN, O-1, etc., and/or experience with green card processes (I-140 and AOS), along with end-to-end PERM applications.

• Proven experience managing a high volume of active and inactive cases simultaneously.

• Experience engaging directly with HR staff and/or foreign nationals about case requirements, particularly for key accounts/clients.

• A genuine interest in US immigration, with a commitment to treating clients and foreign nationals with respect and empathy.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, including proficiency in spelling and grammar.

• A keen eye for detail to ensure consistent accuracy in work.

• Ability to adhere to due process, templates, and adapt to ongoing innovations within the Firm and the industry.

• Capability to meet stringent deadlines and manage caseload priorities.

• Strong computer skills and the ability to adapt to cutting-edge Envoy case processing software for monitoring and recording all visa petitions.

• A strong ability to foster positive team morale in a remote work setting.
