Senior Business Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Serve as a reliable technical advisor and solutions architect for strategic partners (or direct advertisers), assisting them in the integration and utilization of Reddit’s advertising APIs and tools.

• Create and prototype proof-of-concept solutions that enhance technical enablement and deliver real value for partners (or direct advertisers). These solutions may be developed within Reddit’s systems or directly in the client’s or partner’s codebase.

• Work closely with engineering teams at partner (or direct advertiser) organizations to enhance performance, resolve integration challenges, and troubleshoot intricate issues.

• Oversee onboarding, testing, and pre-launch support to guarantee a seamless and successful implementation experience.

• Act as the technical representative for the partner (or direct advertiser) within the organization, sharing feedback and influencing product and platform priorities to enhance outcomes for both parties.

• Assist in escalations for complex or high-impact integrations and provide clear, actionable guidance to swiftly and sustainably overcome obstacles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline—or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of software development experience, demonstrating a strong history of managing end-to-end technical projects, including cross-organizational coordination.

• Proficient coding skills in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Node.js), with a focus on backend or API development.

• Demonstrated ability to directly contribute to external integrations and prototype in partner environments.

• Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, OAuth2 / OpenID Connect, and contemporary SDK patterns.

• Strong communicator with experience presenting complex technical and business concepts to both internal leadership and external stakeholders.
