Senior Business Development Manager, Commercial Oral Technologies

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Identify, assess, and pursue business opportunities related to Rx softgel and late-stage oral solids within the designated portfolio of accounts, which includes both existing customers and prospects.

β€’ Recognize key decision-makers and influencers within accounts.

β€’ Prepare thoroughly for calls and visits, anticipating potential barriers and addressing them effectively.

β€’ Document and validate customer requirements prior to presenting tailored solutions.

β€’ Collaborate with R&D and Contract Management to prepare and present quotations for project development efforts to customers.

β€’ Work alongside management, commercial operations, legal, and finance teams to prepare and negotiate development agreements and all commercial supply agreements.

β€’ Oversee the business relationships with designated customers.

β€’ Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, pricing, contract extensions or amendments, forecasting, conducting periodic business review meetings, and addressing other customer service-related issues.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ BA/BS degree in a scientific discipline, business, or a related field (an MS, MBA, or Ph.D. is preferred).

β€’ At least 5 years of combined experience in business development/sales and scientific/technical roles within the pharmaceutical contract service sales (CDMO), pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences sectors.

β€’ An Associate's Degree along with 5 years of combined experience in business development/sales and scientific/technical roles within the pharmaceutical contract service sales (CDMO), pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences sectors.

β€’ Familiarity with the proposal development process, business quotes, budgeting, and managing projects to established timelines.

β€’ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong negotiation abilities, are essential.

β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is mandatory; experience with Salesforce.com is advantageous.
