Senior Business Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Propel the growth of Velocity’s market presence by enhancing relationships with current clients and exploring new business opportunities.

• Recognize, cultivate, and execute strategic business initiatives through value-added programs that strengthen customer partnerships.

• Oversee projects aimed at achieving sustainable and strategic growth for customers.

• Assess and pinpoint key growth prospects, collaborating with leadership to formulate and implement strategic growth initiatives.

• Work closely with Sales Management to support, mentor, and aid in the development of Strategic Account Managers to maximize sales effectiveness and profitability.

• Direct efforts to attain Approved Vendor status with global clients.

• Collaborate with leadership to ensure consistency between overarching corporate strategies and grassroots market insights.

• Create customer engagement strategies and engage in regular client visits alongside Strategic Account Managers.

• Compile and sustain regular reports summarizing travel expenses related to customer visits.

• Generate and present periodic performance reports, including sales forecasts, gross profit estimations, regional work plans, and performance outcomes.

• Serve as a brand ambassador by promoting and communicating Velocity’s culture, core values, and value proposition to both customers and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a sales-related discipline.

• Over 8 years of sales or business development experience within the electronic components sector.

• Proven expertise in sourcing, account management, and CRM.

• Extensive product knowledge.
