Senior Business Applications Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as a strategic link between Property Accounting and system support, overseeing and resolving issues related to Yardi.

• Oversee the administration and upkeep of the Chart of Accounts (COA), which includes creating new accounts, updating existing codes, and comprehending headers and totals within accounts.

• Provide support and troubleshoot functionalities of the Custom Account Tree, including setup and ongoing modifications.

• Serve as the primary contact for finance and accounting-related implementations and modules (such as Fixed Assets, Construction Manager, Intercompany, Procure-to-Pay, and Payment Processing).

• Validate Trial Balance and AR data during transitions and acquisitions of operators.

• Assist with corrections pertaining to BOM and Property Accounting ledgers.

• Offer backup support for Medicaid-related processes as needed.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure that system access and role provisioning comply with internal controls and audit standards.

• Collaborate with internal support teams to identify and address system challenges.

• Help the AVP, Operations in creating and delivering training programs that ensure operations teams are well-versed in Yardi system functionality.

• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic goals.

• Contribute to agile and project-based workflows, fostering continuous improvement in system processes and reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, operations, or technology implementation.

• Solid understanding of accounting best practices.

• Demonstrated experience in Yardi implementation projects.

• Preferred experience includes Yardi’s Senior Voyager and associated modules.

• Experience in Project Management and Technical Support.

• Experience with planning and implementing system changes in a SOX environment is preferred.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, real estate, computer science, or a related field.

• Agile, Six Sigma, or PMP certification is highly preferred.
