Senior Business Analyst, Finance, Supply Chain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Create and implement a comprehensive set of regional reports and analytics related to cost and distribution that align with stakeholder needs to facilitate improved decision-making and promote quality self-service.

• Offer guidance and ensure the accuracy of reports including: monthly cogs variance results versus standard costs, actual standard versus forecasted standard costs, actual distribution expenses compared to the last quarterly forecast commitment, and relevant cost component trends such as raw material prices and overheads, which help the client understand business performance and trends.

• Promote self-service for stakeholders by developing training materials and conducting sessions to address inquiries and explain the utilization of reports.

• Upon request, prepare and provide information related to production costs, cost of goods sold, and inventory valuation to auditors, government agencies, etc.

• Ensure compliance with established financial controls in their area of responsibility by effectively implementing and maintaining financial policies and procedures; and by establishing, maintaining, and auditing reliable control procedures.

• Consistently achieve or surpass Service Level Agreements related to LAO GBS SCH FP&A processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of experience in finance roles that support Supply Chain and Operations.

• Familiarity with supply chain finance areas including materials, logistics, and manufacturing.

• Extensive experience in: Cost accounting (manufacturing, logistics, distribution), Forecasting (costs, distribution, expenses), and Business analysis (not limited to accounting profiles).

• Proven capability to: Derive insights from data (identify risks and opportunities), and conduct variance analysis (comparing forecasts against prior forecasts or prior years).

• Strong stakeholder management abilities: Capable of influencing senior leadership.

• Experience in navigating challenging conversations and handling pushback.

• Demonstrated leadership qualities without direct reports (influence-based leadership).

• Advanced skills in data handling and analysis.

• Proficient with: Microsoft Office, SAP, Power BI (or comparable BI tools).

• High level of ownership, accountability, and resilience.

• Strong collaborative spirit and teamwork orientation.

• English proficiency: Intermediate.
