Senior Bookkeeper, Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Supervise daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.

• Ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date in accordance with GAAP standards.

• Prepare closing reports for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end periods.

• Oversee full-cycle payroll for both US and international team members and contractors, guaranteeing timely and precise payments.

• Manage multi-currency transactions and reconciliations involving USD, COP, PHP, and others, ensuring correct conversion and reporting.

• Handle invoicing for contractors and vendors, track purchase orders, manage freelancer payment timelines, and maintain vendor contract documentation.

• Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets for various departments, clients, and projects.

• Offer actionable insights and financial forecasts to aid in strategic decision-making.

• Monitor KPIs, profitability, gross margin by client, utilization rates, and financial performance at the campaign level.

• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal tax regulations across all operational jurisdictions.

• Prepare for audits and coordinate with external accountants as necessary.

• Provide financial advice and guidance to executives, department leaders, and project managers.

• Optimize accounting workflows, systems, and reporting processes to facilitate rapid growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance operations.

• CPA or similar certification is preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, tax compliance, and financial reporting.

• Experience in managing payroll and contractor payments across various countries and currencies.

• Familiarity with financial models used in agencies (such as retainers, project fees, utilization, and margin).
