This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Verify the accuracy of invoice images and accompanying documents.
• Input invoice information into Ferguson’s ERP using the accounts payable 3-way match process.
• Investigate and resolve inquiries and issues.
• Capable of recognizing various types of accounting documents.
• Assist with additional Ad Hoc Accounts Payable responsibilities.
• Calculate and apply the correct payment terms to vendor invoice entries.
• Accurately bill customers for products and services rendered.
• Engage in advanced problem-solving related to unit of measure discrepancies and conduct necessary research.
• Review entries to prevent duplication.
• Collaborate with external vendors to ensure accurate invoice processing.
• Maintain consistent adherence to accounts payable policies and objectives.
• Provide high levels of support during Month End and Year End processes.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
• Support the corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the organization.
• Work collaboratively within the Accounts Payable team and across other Ferguson departments.
• Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management.
• Represent the company professionally, ensuring quality customer service.
• Comply with all company policies, rules, and regulations, including applicable safety procedures.
• Required experience in Accounts Payable, procurement (P2P), or other financial fields.
• Understanding of accounting principles through coursework or relevant experience.
• Experience with inventory cycle counts and/or resolution of receiving and shipping discrepancies.
• Proficient in computer skills, including 10-key, with a strong attention to detail in a structured, paperless work environment.
• Ability to recall information necessary for quick decision-making and critical thinking.
• Capable of organizing and prioritizing tasks while adapting to job objectives.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
