Senior Bid Manager

📋 Description

• The Bid Manager is tasked with creating high-quality proposals that align with industry, regional, and national sales strategies, themes, pricing, and the promotion of the NRI ANZ brand in accordance with its capabilities, experience, and go-to-market strategies.

• This role is essential for securing new business for the company, ensuring that proposals developed on behalf of the organization are completed and thoroughly reviewed by NRI ANZ Operations, Regional Management, Solutions, and relevant technical, commercial, and legal teams.

• The Bid Manager will lead, manage, and deliver high-quality, compliant, and competitive end-to-end bids, proposals, and RFPs (Request for Proposals) across multiple lines of business.

• Acting as the central hub, the Bid Manager will drive the bid process by coordinating virtual, cross-functional teams of Sales Leads, Solution Architects, Legal experts, and Executives across different regions to secure significant IT contracts and managed services agreements.

• This position will operate under the approved Sales and Bid Management processes to maintain consistency in the quality of proposals delivered.

• Collaborate with Program and Sales managers to develop win strategies based on client requirements that inform proposal development.

• Create the consolidated proposal document, including necessary presentations.

• Secure appropriate sign-offs for solutions and pricing in accordance with the Sales Process.

• Oversee, mentor, and guide the bid team, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly.

• Develop and sustain NRI ANZ’s collateral and bid/solution resources.

• Identify resource needs for proposal preparation.

• Plan bids, including the creation of project plans/schedules to manage efforts across multiple resources as needed.

• Prepare the proposal 'skeleton', incorporating initial draft text into sections where applicable.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the progress and coordination of the written proposal.

• Coordinate regular bid team meetings and report progress to the Director of Operations and the relevant Industry and Account Director.

• Act in a supportive and advisory capacity to all contributors and stakeholders involved in the proposal.

• Manage the publishing activities of the final proposal on the company intranet.

• Facilitate discussions regarding technical (delivery) and commercial (pricing) assumptions to ensure accurate documentation.

• Review and edit contributions to the proposal for consistency and quality, ensuring that relevant technical, commercial, and legal aspects are covered by appropriate specialists.

• Plan and coordinate formal and informal review points throughout the proposal preparation process.

• Ensure the proper application of NRI ANZ methodologies and frameworks where explicitly referenced.

• Collaborate with other bid managers to promote knowledge sharing and support.

• Continuously strive to enhance the company’s win rate for all proposals and bids.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in bid management.

• Proven experience in responding to tenders, RFIs, RFPs, and proposal development.

• Preferably experienced in managing bids for Managed Services, ERP, CRM, and SaaS solutions.

• Proficient in Virtual Team Leadership: facilitating remote kick-off meetings, storyboarding sessions, and progress check-ins with multi-disciplinary technical and sales teams.

• Some project management experience is preferred.

• Actively participate in large-scale and complex presales cases to ensure delivery feasibility.

• Capable of conducting presentations and demonstrations to prospects.

• Higher Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.

• Strong analytical, written, communication, and presentation skills, along with consulting abilities that empower the individual to take a leadership role within their assigned opportunities.

• Ability to work effectively both autonomously and within a team.

• Exceptional attention to detail and presentation, with the ability to interpret instructions accurately, respond quickly to changing requirements, and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

• Strong stakeholder management skills.

• Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite.

• Experience with AI is preferable, but not essential.

• Capable of operating with a high degree of independence and initiative, despite working physically detached from the core onshore sales unit.
