Senior BI Platform Engineer – Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the technical design of deployment, configuration, and automation processes.

• Create the internal platform for customer onboarding and lifecycle management.

• Design and oversee the architecture of the Power BI workspace and deployment frameworks.

• Automate deployment and release workflows utilizing Power Automate and the Power BI REST API.

• Establish logging, status-tracking, and monitoring systems based on SQL.

• Evaluate dependencies among reports, datasets, and dataflows to facilitate idempotent deployments.

• Collaborate closely with the Product, Customer Success, and Implementation teams to convert requirements into technical architectures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or automation environments.

• Strong grasp of relational data models and proficient SQL capabilities (JOINs, DML, basic stored procedures).

• Advanced expertise in Power BI (datasets, Dataflows Gen1/Gen2, deployment pipelines, rebinding, service vs. desktop, gateway & credentials).

• Multiple years of experience with Power Automate (cloud flows, HTTP actions, error handling, concurrency, asynchronous processes).

• Familiarity with REST APIs, basic OAuth principles, and the ability to read and analyze JSON structures.

• Methodical, precise working style with a strong focus on quality and security.

• Excellent German language proficiency, both written and verbal.
