Senior BI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Burundi, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Create, enhance, and sustain interactive dashboards, visualizations, analyses, and reporting solutions using TIBCO Spotfire.

• Take charge of the complete delivery of BI solutions, covering requirements gathering, data modeling, calculations, and report/dashboard creation.

• Influence the design approach and architectural framework for data models and calculations.

• Establish patterns for other developers to utilize in their work.

• Manage version control and deployment processes through GitHub.

• Perform code reviews and endorse contributions from team members.

• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and product teams to proactively address data and quality concerns.

• Identify and promptly escalate risks or inefficiencies.

• Mentor team members, guiding them in their design choices.

• Define and promote the adoption of BI standards and best practices.

• Work independently and make informed decisions on trade-offs without the need for sign-off.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in BI development.

• Extensive hands-on experience in designing and developing dashboards, visualizations, analyses, and reporting solutions using TIBCO Spotfire.

• Familiarity with Power BI.

• Openness to working across various BI and visualization platforms as business requirements change.

• Strong skills in data modeling, including star schema, relationships, and performance tuning at scale.

• Knowledge of multi-tenant data architecture and Row-Level Security (RLS).

• Practical experience with GitHub in a collaborative deployment workflow.

• Proven ability to independently manage deliverables.

• Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Proactive and detail-oriented mindset with reliable follow-through.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Adaptable across various BI and visualization platforms.
