This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.
• Assist a global reinsurance client in enhancing their claims reporting framework.
• Play a pivotal role in developing and managing a centralized reporting platform.
• Contribute to establishing a single source of truth for claims data utilizing Azure Databricks.
• Design scalable data models, produce high-quality dashboards, and ensure effective reporting solutions.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across both business and technology sectors to convert complex reporting requirements into impactful analytical products.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Power BI (including data modelling, DAX, and performance optimization).
• Demonstrated experience in creating enterprise-grade dashboards and semantic models.
• Practical knowledge of Azure Databricks (including PySpark and/or Spark SQL).
• Strong understanding of Delta Lake and medallion architecture principles.
• Solid foundation in data warehousing and business intelligence architecture principles.
• Experience managing large and complex datasets within a reporting context.
• Capability to operate independently in a multi-stakeholder, international environment.
• Nice to Have: Experience in insurance or reinsurance reporting, familiarity with claims data (losses, reserves, payments, ultimates, movements), knowledge of data governance, data products, or data mesh concepts, experience with financial or actuarial reporting, exposure to DevOps / CI-CD for Power BI or Databricks, understanding of regulatory or management reporting in the insurance sector.
