Senior Benefits Configuration Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Coordinate testing suites, develop test plans, and submit moderately complex test cases to verify the precision of intricate benefit configuration setups.

• Act as a primary liaison with senior members of the Benefit Operations team, proactively communicating to address configuration inconsistencies, clarify plan designs, and relay actionable insights back to the testing team.

• Offer support, mentorship, and peer reviews for junior team members to ensure testing accuracy, aiding them in understanding SmithRx claims adjudication systems and upstream/downstream processes.

• Manage Advanced Logic Validation, including Clinical/Prior Authorization and Financial Accumulators, ensuring that patient out-of-pocket maximums and cost-shares are accurate.

• Record comprehensive defect reports for issues identified during testing and assist in developing process enhancements focused on efficiency and accuracy.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in benefits configuration or testing within the healthcare sector. Experience in PBM or managed care is advantageous but not mandatory.

• An Associate degree or equivalent professional experience is necessary.

• A solid understanding of benefit design standards, including HIPAA, NCPDP, and SmithRx internal business protocols, along with moderate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision on routine tasks, using general directions only for newly assigned responsibilities.

• Strong critical thinking abilities, such as data analysis, logical reasoning, and formulating effective solutions to moderately challenging situations.

• Effective communication skills (written, verbal/presentation, and active listening) to successfully serve as a liaison and collaborate across various functions.
