Senior Benefits Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Supervise and audit benefits transactions (such as enrollments, life events, and terminations) processed via Workday.

• Assist in managing employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, voluntary benefits, and wellness initiatives.

• Take ownership of monthly carrier billing reconciliation and payment, including identifying and resolving discrepancies.

• Develop and maintain benefits reporting.

• Collaborate with HRIS to confirm benefit system configuration and troubleshoot issues within the Workday platform.

• Work closely with Human Resources to ensure consistent administration and application of benefits processes across all locations.

• Partner with Human Resources to guarantee accurate communication, reporting, and resolution of employee benefits issues.

• Assist in the execution of open enrollment, including system validation and reporting.

• Act as the primary day-to-day contact for carriers, including COBRA vendors.

• Address employee inquiries related to benefit plans, eligibility, and claims.

• Collaborate with Human Resources Business Partners to support benefits processes across various locations.

• Ensure consistent administration of the benefits program across multi-state and Bahamas populations.

• Maintain operational compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA regulations.

• Audit and verify eligibility and enrollment data used for ACA reporting.

• Oversee the accuracy of COBRA administration, including tracking qualifying events and notice timelines.

• Provide support for Form 5500 data preparation and audit requests as necessary.

• Keep documentation and audit trails for all benefits processes.

• Monitor compliance requirements across multiple states and coordinate with vendors as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3 - 5+ years of experience in benefits administration.

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a closely related field.

• Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS®) is preferred.

• 3 - 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Benefits, including reporting and vendor EDI feeds.

• Demonstrated experience with billing reconciliation, reporting, auditing, and compliance execution.

• Experience in supporting multi-state populations (experience with the Bahamas is a plus).

• Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA compliance.
