Senior Banner Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage applications and modules within the Ellucian Banner system.

• Implement integrations between Banner and various institutional systems such as ERP, CRM, LMS, etc.

• Enhance business processes through customizations and extensions in Banner.

• Create and maintain PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and packages to support essential functionalities in Oracle.

• Proficient in integration and frameworks (Ethos, APIs).

• Collaborate with functional and IT teams to transform requirements into technical solutions.

• Conduct impact analysis and unit testing before production deployments.

• Document configurations, developments, and workflows to ensure traceability.

• Monitor application performance and suggest efficiency improvements.

• Provide advanced-level support for incidents related to Banner.

• Lead projects that involve system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• 4 to 6 years of experience with Ellucian Banner in higher education or institutional settings.

• Advanced expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle Database Administration.

• Proficient in Java, Groovy, and REST/SOAP APIs for system integrations.

• Familiarity with Ellucian Ethos and contemporary integration tools.

• Experience in Unix/Linux scripting and server administration.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex issues.

• Capability to lead technical projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.

• Preferred: experience with Cloud deployments (AWS, Azure) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

• Advanced English proficiency (C1) required.

• Must possess experience working with U.S. clients.
