Senior Backend Software Engineer – Ruby on Rails, Data Streaming, Distributed Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance scalable backend services that are thoroughly tested and delivered with exceptional quality and within deadlines;

• Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation, covering architecture, APIs, and integrations;

• Make significant contributions to the refactoring and modernization of legacy systems;

• Implement CI/CD pipelines and observability practices for essential services;

• Provide support for squad technical planning and mentor junior developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Ruby on Rails and backend development;

• In-depth knowledge of distributed systems and data streaming, including messaging platforms such as Kafka, Pub/Sub, or similar;

• Familiarity with analytical databases like Elasticsearch, ClickHouse, or similar, as well as transactional databases (SQL or NoSQL);

• Proficiency in unit and integration testing;

• Experience with agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
