Senior Backend Software Engineer – Ruby on Rails

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain scalable, high-performance backend services while ensuring quality and stability.

• Establish automated testing (unit, mocked, end-to-end) to guarantee system robustness.

• Advance and uphold system architecture in line with best practices, ensuring modularity and comprehensive documentation.

• Monitor and enhance production system performance utilizing tools like Datadog and Rollbar.

• Share expertise and provide technical guidance to the team, collaborating effectively with product and engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in backend development utilizing Ruby on Rails.

• Extensive knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

• Significant experience with automated testing and software architecture (Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, Design Patterns).

• Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and Sidekiq for orchestration and asynchronous processing.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership abilities, emphasizing continuous learning.

• Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ) and Redis for caching and optimization is advantageous.

• Background in high-availability environments and scalability strategies is beneficial.

• Contributions to the technical community (such as articles, talks, open source projects, or mentoring) are advantageous.

• Previous experience in Billing teams or related fields is a plus.

• Familiarity with frontend technologies like React, Vue.js, and JavaScript is a plus.
