Senior Backend Software Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for agile project deliveries: work closely with backend, frontend, and cloud teams to ensure that solutions are implemented efficiently and meet all requirements;

• Ensure the performance and stability of the platform: design and implement secure APIs and integrations, and conduct automated monitoring and testing to guarantee that platform data and processes are consistent, fast, and available under all circumstances;

• Develop automated tests to ensure the reliability and quality of the code;

• Monitor and enhance application performance in production environments;

• Actively engage in technical decision-making and the evolution of system architecture;

• Contribute to the improvement of infrastructure, architecture, and performance of existing systems and microservices;

• Assist in enhancing the development experience for teams;

• Cultivate a culture of technical excellence: maintain a strong focus on quality and agile development practices;

• Reflect on and validate ideas to help delight our customers;

• Take responsibility for continuous daily development while ensuring the quality we aim for.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in Python, particularly with frameworks such as Django and FastAPI for creating scalable, maintainable APIs and web systems;

• Proficient with Git and maintaining an organized commit history, ensuring traceability and delivery quality;

• Strong capability to support team members' development and articulate technical decisions clearly and objectively;

• Comprehensive understanding of development processes and agile workflows, with in-depth knowledge of the application lifecycle and integration with other areas (front-end, QA, DevOps);

• Advanced expertise in project architecture, design patterns, and backend development best practices, with a focus on code readability and testability;

• Experience with relational databases, Django ORM, migrations, and query optimization for optimal performance;

• Familiarity with unit, integration, and E2E testing using tools like Pytest, unittest, and Playwright, ensuring quality and reliability;

• Knowledge of CI/CD, containerization (Docker), automated deployments, and monitoring in cloud environments;

• Strong ability to influence, engage, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.
