Senior Backend Software Engineer – IoT Applications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, data-driven applications utilizing Go, Python, and/or Rust, with an emphasis on event-driven architectures.

• Implement and enhance queuing mechanisms and tools to efficiently manage large-scale data streams.

• Create tools that empower internal teams to access and gain insights into sensor data and device performance on-site.

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure the smooth integration of event-driven systems within the overall application infrastructure.

• Streamline data processing workflows for improved efficiency and reliability when managing extensive datasets.

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks in data-intensive applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience as a Software Developer/Software Engineer or in a similar position, with expertise in IoT or managing large data volumes.

• Technical expertise in programming languages such as Go and Python, along with experience in event-driven architectures and queuing tools like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.

• Strong comprehension of distributed systems, data structures, and advanced algorithms.

• In-depth knowledge of database technologies (Postgres, Scylla, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Redis) and awareness of security best practices in software integration.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to work effectively under tight deadlines.

• Experience in fast-paced environments and on critical systems with stringent SLA requirements.

• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Experience with project documentation and maintenance.

• Advanced proficiency in English.
