Senior Backend Product Software Engineer, Payments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams (such as Billing and Financial Data Engineering) to provide dependable payment functionalities.

• Design, develop, test, and support backend services and APIs that facilitate financial transactions.

• Utilize metrics and logging systems to guarantee visibility and observability of the payment infrastructure.

• Serve as a technical lead across various projects and teams.

• Establish long-term technical strategy and uphold engineering excellence.

• Promote collaboration across teams and provide mentorship to engineers.

• Cultivate intuitive product instincts and leverage data to influence technical and product strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 9 years of experience in software engineering or similar industry positions.

• Demonstrated experience in backend engineering, ideally with large-scale systems.

• Expertise in any backend programming language (we currently utilize Python in Payments, but we recognize that the language is primarily a tool).

• In-depth understanding of distributed systems, transactions, and service reliability.

• Excellent communication skills, especially when collaborating across different time zones.
