Senior Backend Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and develop scalable backend services utilizing Python (FastAPI)

• Design and implement multi-tenant SaaS solutions ensuring strict data isolation

• Construct cloud-native applications that leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services

• Execute robust Firestore query scoping to guarantee complete data isolation among tenants

• Establish and enforce Firestore security protocols for secure access management

• Deploy and oversee applications utilizing Cloud Run

• Configure and fine-tune IAM roles, permissions, and policies

• Collaborate with Pub/Sub for event-driven architecture and messaging systems

• Manage storage and access through Google Cloud Storage (GCS)

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions

• Automate testing, building, and deployment processes specifically tailored for Cloud Run environments

• Conduct production readiness assessments across Cloud Run setups (scaling, concurrency, and performance)

• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance optimization

• Work alongside cross-functional teams, including DevOps, product, and frontend teams

• Offer technical leadership, mentorship, and best practices for cloud-native development

• Promote code quality, design evaluations, and architectural governance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 13 years of experience in software development and cloud architecture

• Strong practical expertise in Python, particularly with FastAPI

• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Cloud Run, Firestore (covering security rules and data modeling), Pub/Sub, and IAM

• Demonstrated experience in building and scaling multi-tenant SaaS applications in a production environment

• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and API design

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, preferably GitHub Actions

• Proficiency in cloud security, secrets management, and access control

• Strong problem-solving abilities and system design expertise.
