Senior Backend Engineer, Python, Django

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Write backend code using Django to support the consumer dashboard and B2B platform.

• Create new features for APIs that enhance the consumer dashboard and facilitate customer reporting.

• Enhance the performance and reliability of Celery and RabbitMQ pipelines.

• Integrate external services like payment providers and identity solutions, including Stripe and WorkOS SSO.

• Engage in code reviews, both providing and receiving feedback, as part of a small backend team.

• Take on real production tasks within the first week.

• Collaborate with the founders to influence product development and technical strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in building production web applications.

• More than 3 years of experience with Python and Django.

• Hands-on experience with Celery, RabbitMQ, and Redis in a production environment.

• Solid understanding of computer science principles, including data structures, concurrency, SQL, and system design.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• Ability to work asynchronously across different time zones.

• Self-motivated and capable of following through on tasks independently.

• Proficient in English.

• Strong advantage: Experience with DRF and/or django-ninja.

• Strong advantage: Skills in Postgres tuning and query optimization.

• Strong advantage: Familiarity with Kubernetes and AWS.

• Strong advantage: Experience with Stripe, WorkOS SSO, or other third-party API integrations.

• Strong advantage: Knowledge of HTMX, React, or both.

• Strong advantage: Background in consumer privacy or related fields.

• Strong advantage: Experience with AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code).
