Senior Backend Engineer, Python, Django

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Create new functionalities for APIs that support the consumer dashboard and customer reporting.

• Enhance the performance and reliability of Celery and RabbitMQ pipelines.

• Establish integrations with external services, including payment and identity providers like Stripe and WorkOS SSO.

• Engage in code reviews by providing and receiving constructive feedback within a small backend team.

• Take on real production tasks within the first week.

• Play a role in product development and technical strategy while collaborating closely with the founders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in building production web applications.

• More than 3 years of experience with Python and Django.

• Hands-on experience with Celery, RabbitMQ, and Redis in a production environment.

• Solid understanding of computer science principles, including data structures, concurrency, SQL, and system design.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• Ability to work asynchronously across different time zones.

• Self-motivated with the ability to follow through on tasks.

• Proficiency in English.

• Strong advantage: Experience with DRF and/or django-ninja.

• Strong advantage: Skills in Postgres tuning and query analysis.

• Strong advantage: Familiarity with Kubernetes and AWS.

• Strong advantage: Experience with Stripe, WorkOS SSO, or other third-party API integrations.

• Strong advantage: Knowledge of HTMX, React, or both.

• Strong advantage: Background in consumer privacy or related fields.

• Strong advantage: Experience with AI coding assistants (Claude Code, etc.).
