Senior Backend Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Assist the Enterprise Integrations team in overseeing and executing integration processes from the design phase to deployment.

• Gather and specify requirements from internal stakeholders, assess task complexity, and schedule delivery timelines.

• Create and implement dependable, scalable integration solutions utilizing Python, REST, gRPC, Apache Kafka, Redis, and SQL.

• Perform regular code reviews to uphold a consistent, high-quality codebase.

• Adhere strictly to delivery deadlines, ensuring both production readiness and technical excellence.

• Monitor and stabilize integrations after deployment using observability tools such as Grafana.

• Proactively identify and address blockers to maintain project momentum, showcasing a hands-on "get things done" attitude.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of practical backend development experience.

• Strong technical expertise including Python (FastAPI), REST, gRPC, SQL, Apache Kafka, Redis, and Postman.

• Experience in designing and implementing robust, scalable integration solutions with external partners and service providers.

• Background as a backend engineer with a solid grasp of event-driven and asynchronous architectures.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as YouTrack and Grafana.

• Demonstrated skills in stakeholder management and scope control.

• Excellent communication, prioritization, and time management skills, consistently delivering results under tight deadlines.

• Proficient in English at a B2+ level (both writing and speaking).
