Senior Backend Engineer, Node.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Denmark.

📋 Description

• Take proactive ownership of backend projects, addressing complex challenges and ensuring implementations reach completion.

• Play an essential role in defining our backend architecture, promoting best practices, and sustaining a scalable and high-performing infrastructure.

• Mentor and assist fellow engineers, contributing to the enhancement of the team’s technical skills.

• Work closely with our product team, designers, and other engineers to guarantee that backend solutions align with product objectives.

• Develop reliable, scalable, and modular systems utilizing NodeJS, TypeScript, MySQL, Redis, and ElasticSearch.

• Participate in the ongoing enhancement of our engineering practices and the advancement of our product to fulfill customer needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possesses over 5 years of experience in software development, with a demonstrated history of delivering comprehensive backend solutions.

• Holds extensive knowledge in Node.js, TypeScript, and relational databases, particularly MySQL.

• Experienced in constructing scalable, efficient, and modular backend systems.

• Familiar with contemporary backend engineering practices, including API design, data modeling, testing, and performance optimization.

• Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills in English, effectively collaborating with the product team and engineers to shape and refine backend features.

• Experienced in remote work and located in Copenhagen or elsewhere in the EU, with legal authorization to work.
