Senior Backend Engineer – Grafana Backend Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

• Participate in and evaluate design documents for forthcoming features.

• Collaborate closely with other teams within the Grafana Division.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong backend development experience, preferably with Go.

• Solid understanding of storage solutions, particularly relational databases like MySQL, SQLite, and Postgres.

• A deep commitment to enhancing both developer and user experience, along with the quality of the products you develop.

• Proven experience in delivering projects, from requirement gathering and ideation to successfully shipping products to customers independently.

• Background in writing clean, robust, and efficient software that is easily maintainable by others.

• Experience in mentoring junior engineers in a collaborative yet asynchronous setting.

• Enjoy tackling complex solutions – Grafana is a sophisticated platform with dedicated users who rely on it daily and are invested in their workflows.

• Ability to address complex challenges by breaking them down into manageable components: analyze, design, and create modular solutions, deliver MVPs, collect data and feedback, and then iterate for improvement.
