This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Spearhead the development of significant team-focused projects and engage in cross-team initiatives for Remote's HR and Payroll offerings.
• Actively engage in product-related tasks within the team: offer feedback, propose solutions to challenges, and leverage technical insights to recommend product enhancements.
• Maintain a solid understanding of the team’s domain from both product and engineering perspectives.
• Provide constructive feedback during code reviews.
• Contribute to the collective codebase.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and business challenges.
• Participate in activities outside the team, such as support rotations, the hiring process, and RFC discussions.
• Mentor and offer guidance to fellow engineers.
• Research, propose, and engage in the implementation of enhancements to our platform.
• Design interfaces with a focus on performance, accessibility, and API architecture.
• Redefine how engineering tasks are executed by making autonomous agents the standard execution layer.
• Propose and implement end-to-end agentic workflows (spec → plan → execute → verify) to accelerate outcome delivery.
• Develop reusable agentic workflows and building blocks within the codebase for repeated application across various domains.
• Utilize verification loops (tests, checks, evaluations, guardrails) to guarantee that results are accurate, secure, dependable, and scalable.
• Strong engineering fundamentals coupled with a proven history of delivering production systems that are secure, reliable, and scalable.
• Hands-on experience in designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows (or similar systems) and enhancing them through iterative processes.
• Capacity to think systemically: clearly define specifications, decompose plans, implement verification measures, and ensure quality is upheld.
• Proficiency in Postgres (or a comparable database).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar).
• Demonstrates strong capabilities in automation and AI, along with a good understanding of AI principles.
• Kubernetes experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with Docker (preferred).
• Experience with AWS (preferred).
• Understanding of Next.js (preferred).
• Knowledge of React, Vue, or Angular (preferred).
