This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.
• Oversee the development of significant team-focused projects and engage in cross-team initiatives related to Remote's HR and Payroll offerings.
• Actively involve yourself in team product work: provide insights, propose solutions to challenges, and leverage your technical knowledge to enhance product functionality.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the team's domain from both product and engineering perspectives.
• Offer constructive feedback during code reviews.
• Contribute to the collective codebase.
• Troubleshoot and resolve both technical and business-related issues.
• Participate in activities outside the team, including support rotations, the hiring process, RFC discussions, and more.
• Mentor fellow engineers and offer guidance.
• Explore, propose, and engage in the implementation of enhancements to our platform.
• Design interfaces with a focus on performance, accessibility, and API architecture.
• Transform the process of how engineering work is delivered by utilizing autonomous agents as the primary execution layer.
• Suggest and implement agentic workflows from start to finish (specification → planning → execution → verification) to expedite outcomes.
• Develop reusable agentic workflows and components in the codebase for teams to apply consistently across various domains.
• Employ verification mechanisms (tests, checks, evaluations, guardrails) to ensure outcomes are accurate, secure, dependable, and scalable.
• Solid engineering principles and a proven history of delivering production systems that are secure, dependable, and scalable.
• Hands-on experience in designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows (or similar systems) and refining them through iterative processes.
• Ability to adopt a systems thinking approach: clearly define specifications, decompose plans, implement verification, and maintain a focus on quality.
• Experience with Postgres (or similar databases).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar).
• Nice to have: Experience with Kubernetes.
• Nice to have: Experience with Docker.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with AWS.
• Nice to have: Experience with Next.js.
• Nice to have: Proficiency in React/Vue/Angular.
