Senior Backend Engineer – Data Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and develop cloud-native backend services for extensive data processing and analytics.

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to transform intricate business requirements into sophisticated technical solutions.

• Construct and enhance data models and pipelines focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Promote cost-effective and secure utilization of cloud infrastructure, primarily AWS.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a backend engineer, preferably in data-intensive settings.

• Strong expertise in Python (preferred), with additional knowledge of Java or Scala considered an advantage.

• Extensive experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP, and their data ecosystems (e.g., ECS, Fargate, S3, Redshift, Lambda).

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong grasp of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a collaborative attitude.

• Excellent analytical skills with the capability to mentor colleagues.
