Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop REST APIs utilizing Kotlin or Java with a strong emphasis on scalability, reliability, and high performance.

• Create secure and efficient integrations with payment APIs.

• Design and implement RESTful services along with event-driven architectures.

• Oversee data storage using relational database systems.

• Contribute to the development of CI/CD pipelines and the automation of testing processes.

• Work collaboratively across teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in backend software development.

• Strong command of Kotlin or Java programming languages.

• Proven expertise in designing REST APIs.

• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL and transactional processes.

• Practical knowledge of Stripe or similar payment processing platforms.

• Familiarity with Kafka or other equivalent messaging systems.

• Proficient in working within Linux environments.

• Understanding of application security and secure coding practices.

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code).

• Practical experience with Agentic Coding best practices, including the use of AI agents to implement complete features.
