Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Create and develop scalable back-end systems and APIs that support high-impact applications utilized by a large, active user base around the clock.

• Produce production-ready code, advancing new features and functionalities in a 24/7 sports betting environment.

• Balance agility and scalability to facilitate rapid product deployments while ensuring systems are designed to adapt and perform at scale.

• Manage the entire software development lifecycle, from initial design to long-term maintenance, performance optimization, and reliability enhancements.

• Quickly triage, investigate, and resolve production issues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Ensure all components are designed to handle high volume and real-time demands, focusing on speed and efficiency.

• Collaborate across teams to align technical execution with product objectives, mentoring colleagues and upholding quality standards throughout the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant combination of education, experience, and training.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in object-oriented backend development using languages such as C#.

• Extensive understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and backend system architecture.

• Demonstrated success in designing and building scalable distributed systems in Cloud environments like AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Advanced skills in writing and maintaining automated test suites, encompassing unit, integration, and performance tests for large-scale backend services.

• A proven track record in mentoring and developing other engineers through code reviews, design assessments, and collaborative debugging.
