Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Leading and actively engaging in the design, development, and upkeep of backend systems and APIs.

• Architecting and deploying scalable and resilient backend solutions capable of accommodating increasing user demands and shifting business requirements.

• Upholding high coding standards, conducting code reviews, and ensuring adherence to best practices for code maintainability and clarity.

• Identifying performance bottlenecks and optimizing code as well as algorithms to enhance system efficiency.

• Implementing monitoring and debugging tools to proactively detect and resolve issues, ensuring optimal system uptime.

• Developing and sustaining comprehensive test suites, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, to guarantee the reliability of backend systems.

• Offering guidance and mentorship to junior developers, aiding in their technical skill development.

• Analyzing intricate technical challenges and proposing effective solutions to address them.

• Documenting code, APIs, and technical processes to promote knowledge sharing within the team and facilitate the onboarding of new developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside within the EMEA region.

• Strong experience with TypeScript is essential.

• Previous experience in the blockchain domain, along with a technical understanding of the EVM ecosystem (or other ecosystems), is advantageous.

• Extensive professional experience in a similar capacity (as a senior or lead developer).

• Familiarity with document databases and caching mechanisms.

• Experience in software design and architecture.

• Profound knowledge of testing frameworks and principles.

• A passion for emerging technologies and the capability to independently assess them and suggest enhancements.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science is a plus.

• Experience with smart contract development is a plus.

• Proficiency in Golang is a plus.
