Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Plan, construct, and shape numerous essential applications and integrations for the business.

• Design, develop, assess, and deliver innovative software solutions that effectively address complex challenges.

• Establish the groundwork and architecture necessary for global scalability.

• Promote a culture of innovation driven by experimentation within the team.

• Encourage teamwork and ensure successful project completion.

• Enhance developer experience by consistently minimizing technical debt, automating as much as feasible, and documenting decisions, runbooks, and more.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders and other teams, extending beyond your specific responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in developing, deploying, and monitoring scalable backend software solutions using TypeScript across various past projects.

• Familiarity with NestJS in large-scale applications is a significant advantage; otherwise, experience with similar frameworks is acceptable.

• Ability to articulate ideas clearly and succinctly, both in writing and verbally (our primary working language is English).

• Proactively seek feedback from colleagues and enhance visibility where it is lacking.

• Comprehensive understanding of architectural patterns and experience in implementing them using current DevOps best practices.

• Experience in cross-functional teams and overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, including leading project coordination.

• Openness to take on various roles (metaphorically speaking): we expect our engineers to engage in product thinking and have a strong concern for business impact.

• Comfortable navigating uncertainty and requesting necessary resources to accomplish tasks.

• Eager to leverage AI tools to enhance your effectiveness, including agentic coding.
