Senior Backend Engineer – Alerting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.

• Lead projects from the initial concept through to operational deployment once it reaches customers.

• Participate in your team’s on-call rotations and take responsibility for the services you manage.

• Provide mentorship and support to fellow team members, engage in design discussions, and collaborate closely with the team.

• Acquire new skills by deepening your understanding of our cloud product, our customers, and familiarizing yourself with the codebase of a large distributed system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience with at least one programming language. While we primarily use Go, familiarity with Python, Java, C++, Rust, or similar languages is also valuable.

• Some experience in delivering projects, from gathering requirements and brainstorming to successfully shipping a product to customers independently.

• Some background in developing cloud-based software or experience in systems engineering.

• Proven ability to write clean, robust, and efficient software that can be easily maintained by others.

• A self-motivated individual with a proactive attitude.

• Customer-oriented mindset.

• Enthusiasm for creating intuitive products that align with customer needs.

• Pragmatic approach: capable of tackling complex challenges, breaking them down for shorter feedback loops, analyzing, designing, building modular solutions, delivering MVPs, collecting data and feedback, and iterating progress.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills: as part of a remote team, effective communication is essential.
