Senior Backend Engineer – Alerting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

• Play an integral role in shaping our roadmap and defining your career aspirations.

• Collaborate with your team to implement new features, utilizing the outcomes to refine and enhance.

• Lead projects from the initial concept through to operational status once delivered to customers.

• Design, develop, manage, and sustain essential systems, taking charge of their reliability, performance, and availability.

• Participate in your team’s on-call rotations and take ownership of the services you are managing.

• Guide and assist fellow team members, engage in design discussions, and work collaboratively with the team.

• Acquire new skills by gaining a deeper understanding of our cloud product and customers, while familiarizing yourself with the codebase of a large distributed system.

• Solid experience with at least one programming language. We primarily use Go, but familiarity with Python, Java, C++, Rust, or similar languages is equally valuable.

• Some experience in managing projects from requirement gathering and brainstorming to delivering a product to the customer in a self-directed manner.

• Some background in developing cloud-based software or experience in systems engineering.

• Proven experience in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient software that can be easily supported by others.
