Senior Backend Engineer – AI Agents – Climate Tech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the backend services (agents) for AI-driven PCF and CCF workflows.

• Develop and enhance agent orchestration, evaluation, and quality assurance mechanisms (ML Ops).

• Define the technical direction for AI-related backend systems in collaboration with the CTO and other senior engineers.

• Convert product and domain requirements into effective technical solutions.

• Maintain code quality and promote knowledge sharing through code reviews and teamwork.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend software development.

• Proficient in Python programming.

• Demonstrated experience in agent development within a professional setting.

• Strong understanding of agent frameworks, technologies, and methodologies (RAG, tool-calling, function-calling, agent design patterns).

• Experience in balancing performance, cost, and accuracy in production environments.

• Fluent in English with clear written and verbal communication skills (German is a plus).

• Reside in the EU (CET ±1) and possess a valid work permit.
