Senior Backend Developer – Node.js, PIX

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and implement backend systems utilizing Node.js, adhering to best practices and architectural guidelines.

• Develop resilient, secure, and scalable RESTful APIs with an emphasis on PIX and financial applications.

• Engage with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker), and automated CI/CD workflows.

• Conduct technical analyses of business and enhancement requests in partnership with system analysts and business teams.

• Guarantee the technical quality, performance, and security of systems in both production and staging environments.

• Generate and uphold technical and architectural documentation for various systems.

• Offer technical guidance to the team, fostering best practices in development, testing, and architecture.

• Participate in the ongoing development of the architecture and technical standards implemented in the CCS (MDS).

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed higher education in a technology-related discipline.

• Proficiency in Node.js with Express (ES6 or later).

• Knowledge of software architecture, RESTful principles, and design patterns.

• Experience with MongoDB (including complex aggregate queries) and relational databases (SQL).

• Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, or similar).

• Skills in unit and integration testing, code quality, and tools like Sonar.

• Competence in version control using Git and GitFlow.

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Sonar, automated pipelines).

• Understanding of object-oriented, functional, and reactive programming.

• Adherence to Clean Code principles and refactoring methods.

• Background in PIX, the financial industry, or payment systems.

• Advantageous: experience in financial, banking, or high-volume transactional systems.

• Awareness of information security and LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law).
