Senior Backend Developer, Node.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain scalable web applications with an emphasis on backend technologies (Node.js or other programming languages)

• Design and enhance software architectures, guaranteeing quality, performance, and security

• Develop and utilize APIs, adhering to best practices for integration and HTTP-based communication

• Model and oversee relational databases (SQL) and file storage solutions (e.g., S3)

• Address complex challenges utilizing analytical reasoning and technical decision-making

• Implement and uphold automated testing to ensure code quality and dependability

• Assist in the development and refinement of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

• Operate in cloud environments (AWS or similar), aiding in infrastructure and scalability choices

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (product, design, engineering) to deliver effective solutions

• Engage actively in the ongoing enhancement of processes, tools, and engineering best practices

• Contribute to shared areas such as frontend, DevOps, and security as necessary

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Node.js or other backend programming languages

• In-depth understanding of Software Architecture and engineering best practices

• Experience in developing web systems and building/consuming APIs (HTTP)

• Expertise in relational databases (SQL)

• Familiarity with file storage solutions (e.g., S3)

• Experience in cloud environments (AWS or other cloud service providers)

• Knowledge of automated testing methodologies and the test pyramid

• Experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines (CI/CD)

• Strong analytical capabilities, logical reasoning, and decision-making skills

• Generalist profile with a keen interest across various Software Engineering domains (backend, frontend, DevOps, security, processes, and tools)
