Senior Backend Developer, Java/Kotlin

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain backend applications utilizing Java/Kotlin and Python;

• Create, develop, and enhance RESTful APIs;

• Construct and sustain microservices architectures;

• Collaborate with distributed, scalable, and resilient systems;

• Develop both synchronous and asynchronous integrations employing messaging and event-driven architectures;

• Apply development best practices, including Clean Code, SOLID principles, and object-oriented design;

• Utilize AWS services for application deployment and support;

• Engage in defining strategies for scalability, resilience, and performance;

• Create solutions using relational and NoSQL databases;

• Work on data modeling and query optimization;

• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines alongside automated deployment processes;

• Execute deployment strategies such as Blue/Green and Canary;

• Employ observability, monitoring, structured logging, and failure management;

• Implement mechanisms for retry, fallback, circuit breaker, and Dead Letter Queue (DLQ);

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical decisions and architectural advancements of applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in backend development with Java/Kotlin and Python;

• Proficient in RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and microservices architecture;

• Understanding of distributed systems, messaging, and event-driven architecture;

• Familiarity with AWS, including services like ECS, SQS, Lambda, and S3;

• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including data modeling and optimization;

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes, Git, and deployment strategies;

• Experience in observability, monitoring, and application resilience;

• Understanding of development best practices such as Clean Code and SOLID;

• An analytical and collaborative mindset focused on performance and scalability.
