Senior Backend Developer – Java, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create applications using Java with Vert.x and Spring frameworks.

• Develop software in Python, covering both versions 2.x and 3.x.

• Construct high-volume, mission-critical systems employing contemporary architectural patterns and design principles.

• Design and enhance RESTful APIs along with microservices and reactive architectures.

• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality standards.

• Develop unit and integration tests to validate application functionality.

• Engage in agile ceremonies and actively participate in the advancement of the product.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient technical background in Java and Python.

• Familiarity with Java 17/21 (LTS) and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot and Spring Framework.

• Experience with Python 3.x and at least one web framework such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django; knowledge of maintaining Python 2.x (legacy) is a plus.

• Experience with Vert.x or an equivalent reactive framework (like Spring WebFlux/Reactor).

• Knowledge of microservices, reactive architectures, and APIs.

• Proven experience in developing RESTful APIs.

• Strong understanding of Design Patterns, SOLID principles, TDD, and BDD.

• Familiarity with Git/GitLab for version control.

• Experience with messaging systems, such as SQS.

• Knowledge of build tools like Maven or Gradle.

• Desired qualifications include:

• A degree in Information Security, Information Systems, or related fields.

• Experience with credit products, anti-fraud mechanisms, scoring, or data bureau services.

• Experience with AWS services (EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, CodePipeline).

• Proficiency in using containers (Docker, Docker Compose) and Kubernetes.

• Understanding of NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB) and caching solutions (Redis).

• Experience with Kafka and high-throughput event/stream processing.

• Familiarity with observability tools (Grafana, Splunk) and testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
