Senior Backend Ads Engineer – HTS Media Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Develop the Core Engine: Design, create, and implement high-performance microservices for ad serving, targeting, and bidding.

• Optimize for Scale and Speed: Focus intensely on system performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to ensure our services achieve stringent low-latency standards.

• Ensure High Availability: Construct resilient, fault-tolerant systems and establish comprehensive monitoring to uphold exceptional reliability.

• Drive Technical Excellence: Facilitate architectural discussions, perform code reviews, and advocate for best practices in software development.

• Collaborate for Impact: Work closely with product managers, data engineers, and the engineering team to deliver cohesive, high-impact features.

• Mentor and Lead: Offer technical guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers, fostering an environment that elevates the entire organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience, specifically in building distributed backend systems.

• Direct experience in ad tech or retail media is essential, encompassing familiarity with concepts such as ad serving, real-time bidding, and ad campaign management.

• Proven experience in designing and maintaining high-throughput, low-latency services in a cloud environment.

• Strong expertise in high-performance databases and caching systems.

• In-depth knowledge of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
