Senior Back End Engineer – Streaming Data Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Creating and executing the streaming data platform engine and SDK.

• Developing new functionalities for our suite of web and streaming applications, along with data reporting features.

• Actively participating in the platform's development by contributing to technical decisions and implementations.

• Collaborating closely with the wider team to tackle new challenges and adapt requirements as we evolve and shift priorities.

• Utilizing Claude Code and other AI tools effectively to enhance productivity.

• Engaging in paired programming with an expanding team of Back-end, Data, and Front-end Engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8+ years of experience as a Back End Engineer.

• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.

• Experience in building and deploying applications on public cloud platforms such as AWS.

• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following technologies: Kafka, Kafka Streams processor API (not high-level DSL), DataBricks, EMR, DeltaFlow.

• Expertise in profiling, debugging, and performance tuning of complex distributed systems.

• A willingness to collaborate closely through pairing.

• Strong commitment to unit testing and mocking frameworks with a TDD (Test Driven Development) approach.

• Understanding of OOP principles and contemporary development practices.

• A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
