Senior Back-end Engineer, Ruby on Rails

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable backend systems and APIs.

• Create architectural solutions for intricate business challenges.

• Build and uphold microservices-based architectures.

• Ensure high standards of code quality, scalability, and performance.

• Perform code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.

• Troubleshoot complex issues across the technology stack.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Play a key role in technical decision-making and system design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience with Ruby on Rails.

• Proficiency in REST API design.

• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).

• Knowledge of microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with Docker.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).

• Proficient with CI/CD tools (Jenkins or similar).

• Nice to have: Experience with message bus systems, payment integrations (Stripe, PayPal), Infrastructure as Code, and Salesforce/Mailchimp integrations.
